Not wanting to piss on anyones chips but these machines do not make a good donor machine for CNC.
For a start you have to throw at least 2K at them for the conversion as regards ballscrews, motors drivers etc and then all you have left is a converted machine that is worth far less than the manual machine you started with.
If you want CNC at this level then buy a dead machine and upgrade it. For a start it will have ballscrews, motors, pressure oiling, chrome slides and chances are little work as these early BOSS machines had crap electronics and spent more time broken down than working.
A grand should get you a decent machine to start with.
