OK iv seen a 6040 chines cnc on ebay and in the add it said product shiped from the uk so not import tax/ duty to pay. Any one know if this is true ? or is it just to get you to buy then you get hit when it turns up?

I bought a 3040 and it came from Portsmouth and took two days for delivery
so no import duty to pay? from the same seller ? thanks for the fast reply
no import duty it was from a different seller

Yes mate iv got it . having some problems with it but think i have worked them out
this seems to happen quite a bit with all sorts of stuff on auction sites, stuff is being sent by one family member in China to one here in the UK. few different ways they can get round the import duty. Only thing is don't expect the support to be any better jf you have problems just because it was shipped from UK.
I've just got a 6040 and having problems with x axis managed to get things moving in Mach 3 rest of axis are fine but x moves in random directions and sometimes don't move just make humming noise with no motor movement atall
