I'm Ian and my daytime job is a maintenance engineer. I would like to build a cnc for home use to make my modelmaking interests easier. Any help and advice from you guys will be just great.
I'm looking to build a 3 axis for cutting plywood,carbon,fiberglass and aluminium sheet. No milling, just flat sheet cutting.

The best way forward is to make a drawing using CAD, 'Sketchup' is popular becasue it's free and easy to use. That way forum members can see what you propose and over a period of time the design will evolve until you are satisfied with it.
