Anyone here cutting on metal mesh??
I have read a few good things for smaller machines, the flat type of mesh seems most popular, stops all tip-ups as well.
Not sure whats best to build into my new 4x4 table????

Ok, so mesh seems not ideal, this table should have a max capacity of 18mm or so and 1/4" is definitely going to be cut.
Whats the best option?
I want spike-top slats as they give the least side-effects on my existing table, but what thickness should they be?
Is diagonal straight used or are they always curved?
Should the slat frame be fixed to the table beams or a floating insert?
You will want to cut 1/4" but will that be a full sheet of 1/4"?
If not then could it be you will cut full sheets of 2mm and smaller pieces of up to 3/4"?
If so, redesign your table so you have one hefty corner with close slats and lots of support to take the big loads, while the rest of the table is relatively limp and widely spaced
Excellent idea, thanks.
