Getting CNC machine status - already send programs via Wi-fi

Hi all,

I would like to know if its possible to collect simple machine status (running / not running) from the existing wireless connection to various CNC machines on the shop-floor.

Currently the machines are all fed their programs via wifi - so there must be a communication link between the machines and the company server, where the programs are stored.

Unfortunately we have a damn awkward a*sehole for an Engineer at this company, who refuses to give out any information and an MD who is too busy to see the truth.

Any help for a noob would be much appreciated :)
