Get Status from CNC machines

Hi all,

we have many brands of CNC machines on the shopfloor and they are sent programs over a wireless network, from the companys' servers.
My question is can I utilize this system to get the status (running / not running ) of each machine?
Or what additional component is required to make this do-able.

As the Engineer here is a downright awkward ar*ehole and won't allow me access to the server nor answer my pleasantly worded requests, I have found my way here!

Any information for this noob would be much appreciated. Thank you.
