As I have posted a few years ago http://www.ekits.eu/PROCNCDraw/ is an update for very simple software to cut 2d parts. Also it can convert gerber code to g file for milling PCBs. Demo is fully functional but it accuracy is low. But it is absolutely usable in many cases.
"GatorCAM for CNC" to the list.

Easy-to-select regions for tooling operations.
1-click selection can select many objects without the need to select and reapply tooling operations for every object.
Automatic "inside" detection.
Nested objects detection.
Optimal Tool Paths : less CNC wasted movement from one side of the work-piece to the other.
Tabs to hold down cutouts.
Inset, and finishing passes.
Pockets, grooves, profiles, vbit engraving.
Easy to use. Create GCode with less fuss.
Using more than 1 tool bit automatically creates separate GCode files (for manually changing the tool bit).
an Automatic Tool Change (ATC) GCode file is also created.
No hidden settings. Easy to edit: speeds, tool bits, step down, tab height, origin etc.
Not Cloud-based. No internet needed. No monthly fees/subscription. Not expensive (yet). Free upgrades.

Okay, hello everyone.
I hope i'm in the correct forum here (moderator, please move it to the correct one if i'm not).
I have used hobby cnc machines, with free gerber files but now I'd like to draw my own and cut them out on my Mach3 machine (approc 80 x 60 cm cutting area).
What software is out there that will let me do my own designs?
Something REALLY simple is all that is needed, I don't need or want any fancy gimmicks! I don't mind paying a reasonable (for hobby use) fee for the software.
Thanks.
There's a list of some here; https://wifitalents.com/best/gerber-pcb-software/
I've always thought KiCad was a good one, it's free open source but might take a bit of learning.
I’m working on an open-source project called PureCutCNC, and I just pushed version 0.0.2. It is still in the very early stages, but I’m excited to keep the momentum going.
The goal is to create a clean, accessible CNC control interface. This update focuses on editing functionality, new and improved operations, path optimization, improved DXF/SVG import, UI improvements, user guide and quick start.
I’m doing this as a passion project, so if you have a moment to look at the documentation or the application, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Browser version is the easiest to start with the app. Preview of the desktop versions is also available in the downloads section.

Thanks for looking!
Try PureCutCNC https://purecutcnc.github.io
It runs in a browser or as a desktop application. Free and no registration required.
