    Hi,

Does anyone know where this device is used? The two lines moves across the lense when I turn the wheel.

There are obviously several small things it can measure... ;-) On another website I was told that it is used for setting tool offsets, which also makes sense.

It looks like it's used as described on other website,it measures a linear offset, clamped to one jobby after rough alignment with the indexing arm and the offset of whatever read off the indicator dial after the target has been aligned.
    Perhaps.
