This is about the cheapest I can find https://www.sorotec.de/shop/Collets/...dle-motor.html and they sell the clamp nuts https://www.sorotec.de/shop/Collets/...ew-model-.html If you can afford it get a couple of clamp nuts. I currently have 5, because changing the collet in the nut is a pain in the arse.

Hey Thanks for this info.
With a lack of availability in the UK i dont get why anyone would use a Kress.
It does look like its going to be a £100 expense!

The Kress Routers are fairly sturdy and well built for what they are, but they have their own collet and nut design. You might find someone selling their whole Kress kit if they are moving on to a VFD and spindle.

Cool thanks, i will keep a look out. I think Kress have forwarded my email to JG Power, a UK based supplier for their products.
What is the difference between a VFD, Spindle and Router?

God i never realised it would get this complicated lol

Routers are generally single phase motors with brushes, not really suited to long switch-on periods. VFD means Variable Frequency Drive and it has 3 phase output at a changeable frequency so you can control the speed and direction of the Spindle, which is a 3 phase motor, usually brushless, so more suitable for continuous use.
