These will work fine with 36V but then you will have the advantage of a better power supply for the future about 68 V is the norm.
    Thanks Clive.

Hi Agathon and welcome to the forum!

I dont think we've got a "go to" for the AM882 units, I think in general people just source the drivers from the best price, so eBay or Aliexpress, coming from China may be the best price if you don't mind waiting longer:

    eBay
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fr...AM882&_sacat=0

    Aliexpress
    https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...eadshine+AM882

As Clive (Hi Clive ) suggests, if you can make the investment now the 882's would be a good future proof call, however the DM's are solid choices too, it really depends on what you foresee for the future of the machine/components.

I'll merge your other thread into this one, sorry for the delay.

Many thanks Lee. I have to say I've put off buying drivers for some time now due to utter confusion about what I need.

My machine is a small professional milling machine with ball-screws and a table with axes weighing round 50kg each. The Astrosyn L709-2 motors exceed the torque of the old motors and I have no intention to upgrade further. Being a metal machining tool, I'm looking at relatively low feed rates.
