    I found this dvd useful to get my head round the interface, it's not a how to model tutorial it just breaks down the tools and how to use them so if you have no prior experience you would want additional help.

    Youtube and autodesk has some excellent resources for getting started

    Thanks for all your advice.... School term has started so now I need to find time to sneak out to the design studio (aka garage) in between marking and planning. There are so many programs out there. I've had students manage to mage g codes from sketchup and blender - and I honestly don't know how they did it! I'll have a play with fusion and illustrator and let you know how I get on. Cheers!
