    I've no experience with the SGR gear. I used TBR supported rails on my mini-mill - they've served me well and continue to do so, but if I was building it again I'd use the HIWIN profile rails that I fitted to my larger scale router. A bit more expensive, but my advice would be you may as well get it right the first time..!

    Sounds like you've already had adventures in CNC and I doubt that you're as 'stupid' as you make out. Stop messing, dive in!

    I'm looking at the table aluminium now!
    Getting new quote for the rails n ball screws.
    then i think i may well take a plunge.
