Hi all,
I recently purchased a XSY-AT1 VFD, and am having some problems -I was hoping you can help.
I saw a number of videos of guys using these on Youtube so figured it was worth a shot since my application is simple and the price was good.
I am driving a Baldor 2HP 3Ph motor with it and have a single phase input (220V) on the VFD. I have it all wired up as it should be, but as I turn the potentiometer, the motor starts to turn but with allot vibration, especially at low frequencies I can see and hear the motor bumping with every cycle. It seems as though the three phases are unbalanced somehow. I checked as best I could with a multi-meter on each wire to the motor and all three signals seem to be there, appear to be pretty identical. (with respect to each other and to ground).

As a test I took the motor and hooked it up to a Hitachi VFD I was already using for my lathe and it ran perfectly smoothly all the way down to 1 Hz. So the motor is fine.

At first I thought the problem might have to do with the default frequencies being 50HZ as my motor specifies 60Hz. So, I changed each frequency parameter on the VFD to 60Hz (also intermediate frequencies to 30Hz) but this did not help.
It seems pretty clear that there is something I am not understanding or perhaps I have a defective unit.

Any suggestions you have would be very welcome.
