Hi,
I've just starting running my first code to test a new build. I've noticed even after adjusting motor tuning and CV in mach3 and slowing the speed i'm getting too much vibration through the framework.
In-hind site I should have used a bigger profile steel, 4mm wall thickness etc as the electrics are producing plenty of torque to move a 50kg gantry etc.
I've designed the framework to be open both ends and for the work bed to be raised and lowered to allow for blocks of foam. I'm just wondering where to start adding steelwork to dampen the osculation, particularly when the machine changes direction.
Sorry about the pic, produced in NOCAD ;)
