Hi My name is bill i did a lot of hand routing making signs to a certain degree of success so i thought i would venture into the world of cnc routing which has me totally baffled. i bought a chinese 3040 3 axis machine new last February it came with mach 3 software which i was able to install ok to a desktop computer running windows xp. the router control box is connected to the pc through a usb b connection on the controler box into a usb port on the pc i can move the axis motors on the screen using my keyboard but i have yet to get any of the axis motors to actually move on the machine the mach 3 diagnostics screen seems to be ok as i have to lights telling me that the ports and pins are set wrong i was wondering if anyone could help me out
