Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NC Programming & Simulation Specialist to join our Composite Technology Centre in Bristol. You will have an opportunity to shape the future of the aerospace industry by contributing to very innovative research projects within GKN’s Global Technology Team. This role requires strong background in NC Programming and Simulation, ideally on CATIA for Aluminium and/or Titanium structures. Hands-on experience on manufacturing processes would be an advantage.
The target candidate should be inspired by the prospect of applying most recent machining methods to bring benefits in terms of costs, quality, productivity and weight/environmental considerations. With these overall goals, a fundamental understanding of post-processing and PLC programming are desirable and would complement the candidate’s excellent NC programming capability. The ideal candidate would have the ability to quickly understand both the benefits and challenges likely to be faced in a development and implementation of new processes/systems, along with the ability to do something about it.
