As an introduction, I am a 50 year old Tree Surgeon trying to restore a Capco Surface grinder so I can sharpen my own chipper blades!

When I left school in the Midlands back in 1985, I spent a couple of years doing a YTS in Engineering. The best day of the week was when we went to college to use the machines.
We did bench Tools, Lathe work, Shaping machine and a bit of engraving. CNC machining was a higher level course we didnt have access to, but we used to walk past their workshops with these large machines in it.
