    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a good lubricant for my plastic drag chain cable carrier ? It is used to carry the blower pipe on my laser cutter and it is obviously sticky with resin etc and tends to rise as it travels along the x axis catching against the cover and making the y axis rail crunch itself past (obviously not ideal). I have wiped it with white spirit and tried a squirt of WD40 but its not helped.

    Thanks in advance

    regards

    Dave

  2. WD40 is likely to make things worse, as it can make certain plastics tacky.

    I'd try some PTFE/Teflon spray.

Thanks for your reply and I will take your advice. Think I may have to bite the bullet and take it off to give it a good wash first.
