In that it suggests setting a higher starting frequency and changing the acel/decel times.
With nothing to loose I tried it and set starting freq to 15, acel and decel to 1 second.
I was able to start the spindle and did not blow the power....
I also took some measurements and there is 0.1mv of leakage, and whilst I can't check the range can see a spike on startup.
We have some other things running in the background so this could be a fluke. It is interesting though.

Yes, it's not uncommon to have to play with settings sometimes to stop VFD from faulting, esp when using heavy tools or loads, I had it recently with an ATC spindle and had to play with settings which were different to what was recommended to get it to work reliably but it's not common to trip the MCB. It usually just throws an error code in the VFD.
I suspect you might still hit trouble when underload or heavy startup.?
