Hi, I’m a new boy to milling so I hope this isn’t a stupid question. I’ve bought a 3018 to try to learn about milling and CAD and at first everything was fine. It came with Candle Software and I engraved the three examples with no problems except for some vibration which I didn’t expect.
I’ve tried to use it jtoday but the X Y Z motors don’t move and the spindle doesn’t turn. There is also a whine coming from the control board that seems excessive, the cooling fan works quietly when powered by the usb so it’s only when using main power that I get the noise and vibration.
I’ve tried different COM ports but the connection seems a bit and miss,I’ve checked the wiring and the couplings motor to screw and found no obvious faults.
I would appreciate any help
