Have you thought of farming out the blank cutting to someone who wants to earn a bit of pocket money with their existing machine? I'd offer to help but the shipping might be prohibitive.
An optimist says the glass is half full, a pessimist says the glass is half empty, an engineer says you're using the wrong sized glass.
