A newbie and enthusiast in this world of CNC, I've cut vinyl with plotters before to make signage, very simple compared to CNC machines, when I needed material for a sign to be cut, I ordered it from a CNC fabricator.

a few years ago I bought from ebay, a 6040 CNC chinese machine and really found it interesting wiring it all up inside a PC tower case but I left the UK for a 6 months and sold it before I really got it to cut anything.

Last year a second hand machine was listed on ebay so I took the plunge bought another one, a timber framed machine so rather heavy, not realising what I was getting into because I was stacked out with work and never got to cut more that a few panels I thought would be useful and labour saving for my work.

This year after returning from Asia again, time on my hands like many other people, I decided to uncover the machine and start again.
