Hi Everyone,
I have acquired a broken little 6040 machine to repair, however I am having a little trouble.
So far its had new drivers / steppers and is getting a ST-V2 board for now - controlled from a uc300eth
I am having trouble trying to determine the VFD connections to the BOB. ( VFD PRT E1500w )

I am thinking the following:
Spindle on/off - FWD
Spindle on / off - COM
0v-10v + AVI
0v-10v - ?????
24v - 24v PSU
Grnd - 24v PSU
Is there anyone who can help ? :-)Last edited by Hulksmash; 17-06-2020 at 06:11 PM.

Need to see the ST-V2 manual do you have a link.?
I've got a feeling that the board uses a common Gnd not an isolated Gnd for the Analog output. In which case I wouldn't use it.-use common sense, if you lack it, there is no software to help that.

Thanks Dean.
Here is a link to one with the same layout
https://www.omc-stepperonline.com/download/ST-V2.pdf
Is there anyway I can check that ?
I have a ground ( presumably common) for limit and EStop.
Thanks again for your help. Really appreciated.
Mike
Ps. How would you wire it if able too. ?

Hello,
Have you got this sorted as I have the same issue? I too have a CNET 6040
Just to recap my issue, I'm trying to connect my VFD (PRT-E1500W) to my BOB (Manual/book shown here - https://www.omc-stepperonline.com/download/ST-V2.pdf).
I've not had conformation of this yet, apparently the PWM on the right of the BOB is for Digital VFD, where as the PWM terminal on the bottom row (4th from the right) is for analogue VFD. Can anyone confirm this please, as I understand the bottom terminal could be connected to the AVI terminal of the PRT-E1500W.
I'm currently comfortable with all the other terminals.
Thanks in advance of moving this issue forward.
