Hi All,
Does anyone have an Emco Compact 5 CNC lathe with a floppy drive instead of a tape drive?
I purchased one a couple of months ago and have been refurbishing it.
The machine is a Mk4 built in 1987 and is now working well except for the floppy drive.
I cannot find anything in the manual or on the net relating to the operation of or a schematic for the FDD.
I understand that it should work in the same way as the tape deck using the same instructions but it does nothing.
The FDD is a TEAC with an attached interface PCB which is fed by a 6821 PIA chip on the main CPU PCB.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Keith
