    Yes, itīs perfectly possible.

There are some threads about how to do it.

You need to use a specific trigger or macro function, because the normal functions have a delay of 0.1-0.2 s iirc.

You probably want to control the power as well..
via pwm, analog, or (servo) step-dir.
Many of the good interface cards or controllers will allow You to control the output via pwm / analog 0-10V.

The pokeys polabs stuff is really good for very little money around 160€ all-in.
The Cslabs stuff like csmio is industrial quality with industrial pricing, from 500€ to 1500€ all-in.
    My lathe controller about 2000€.

    My opinion.
If You have the money buy the cslabs stuff.
And ferrules, tool, wires, 24V DC PSUs, din rails, connectors, shunts, end stops, cabinet, everything.
    It ends up quite expensive.

If your funds are limited, and 125 kHz is sufficient speed, the pokeys stuff is the next best bet.

There are other options and some of them are reportedly good to excellent.
Donīt have them, cannot comment on them.

A common product (I bought back in the day) is absent from my commentary.
    So I donīt recommend it.
