Thread: Space Saving Under-Bench Storage

Hello all,
Had a load of long-lozenge shaped construction ply off-cuts left over from a recent job and thought it a shame to bin 'em. Picked up some 14mm (10mm ID) tube for the bushings from a scrap bin and had a bit of threaded rod lying about. The two L brackets were an old (sawn in half) motor mount I'd made myself for a bit of a project that never worked as expected and has since been disassembled. Only thing I need more of are the empty dessert jars... Shouldn't be a problem.
Anyway, here it is:
Wal.
EDIT: Nuts are torqued up to give a bit of resistance and stud-locked into position, each level moves independently.Last edited by Wal; 16-10-2020 at 05:16 PM.

Minor mods needed to cope with the shiraz as well as the salmon pinwheels but I like the concept of being able to tuck it under the bench and keep the swarf out of your hors d'oeuvres.
An optimist says the glass is half full, a pessimist says the glass is half empty, an engineer says you're using the wrong sized glass.

Well Wal,
You have inspired me to organise my small parts storage (Drawer 1 of 3).
Rest of the bench is still a shitheap though...
This is part of an ongoing project which started in March...
Note the use of the soft-focus filter to give an extra dimension of dreaminess (I must clean the lens on my phone)
Rob
