I'm helping a friend update the control electronics and drive motors on an "old but good" CNC mill. One question that has come up is what people use for things like power distribution in a control cabinet - incoming mains comes via switch/breaker etc and then needs distribution to multiple power supplies/contactors etc. Ditto for other connections.
My own control box uses DIN rail terminals with some kind of bus bar arrangement (as I remember - it was a while ago!) but are there better off-the-shelf options? I'm sure there must be but can't face the search through hundreds of possible options from RS, etc, so I would appreciate pointers to what works just to save a bit of time and possible choice of something second-best. What's your favourite busbar/distribution solution?
Thanks in advance,
