Thread: PLC Battery

  1. #1
The red error light on an Omron CQM1 plc was on and i think it is a flat battery problem. I looked on RS and they are £80. The Maxell 3.6 volt battery was not available but a Saft with the same voltage and very similar type number is £6 from CPC. The Omron one appears expensive for what it is. I am tempted to mount the battery outside of the main processor because they can leak and wreck the most expensive part of the plc.
Has anyone else done this repair?

Andrew Mawson (awemawson on here IIRC) has done this.
