Thread: Steel Enclosure thickness?

Hi All
Its time my Nova Mill had a new enclosure so I can have the option to do flood coolant.
Ive modeled up a design in fusion sheet metal which seems to work but I'm unsure of what thickness to use. The original one is 2mm but that seems a a bit OTT for the new design which has a a welded base with lots of triangulation. I know mass never hurts but wondered what people use.
Can i use a thinner steel or just stick with 2mm? size is approx. 900 x 600 x 600 mm.
