I've got a 3018 Pro and it is a dual use machine although to be fair it mainly will be doing laser work.
I would like to add a second board which I can swap the drives to just for the laser and I would like it to be 32 bit.
This will allow faster processing of the laser file and apparently a greater quality in greyscale etc.

There is one dedicated board which at about £100 to the UK is out of the question.
Someone has suggested a board which is for 3d printers and likely loaded with Merlin.

Can someone offer guidance on either a different board or how to overwrite Merlin if necessary as I'm a bit thick on these matters?
