Thread: Cnc 1610

Greetings I have CNC 1610 with an AnnoyTools PCBoard running Candle 1.1.7 software. It is connected to a HP desktop with Intel Core2, Win10, 4G ram.
Mostly have control of the CNC1610 until I turn on the spindle @ 200RPM or higher. The Candle looses connection with the 1610. It works ok @100RPM. I have to unplug and re-plug the USB cable for the two talk.

I did on an other HP desktop it worked fine but would sometimes stop in the middle of engraving a large piece.

USB doesn't have very good interference protection, and I'm guessing the spindle is generating a lot of electrical noise.

You could spend a lot of time tracing the problem, but as a first attempt, I'd suggest trying a USB isolator.
