Thread: Anodising dye gone off?
-

I've just remade a few parts for the CNC to enable raising the gantry 9mm so I can fit bellows to keep the crap off the ballscrew & Hiwins better. Made the parts, got the anodising stuff out of the shed and poured the various solutions into the baths only to find that the gold dye had lots of lumps of fairly revolting gunky stuff floating in it
. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? and will it spoil the process? I'd rather not be shelling out another £20 on dye just to do 2 small pieces if possible. I can easily filter out the gunky bits if necessary.
