I'm looking for a supplier of cable carrier chain. I know Igus makes it but it comes at a price! Has anyone any sensible alternatives?

What's the duty on it when buying the stuff from HK? and I presume Royal Mail still takes "handling charge" for collecting this tax money as well?

I bought £400 worth of ballscrew, nuts, rails and bearings and customs just let it straight through. He had labeled it as 'Machine parts, threaded rod' though. So for me there was no duty or vat.
Maybe I was just lucky.

Hello all, have you actually tried buying igus chain from igus? You can buy direct from igus, the manufacturer. The prices are therefore pretty low, sure a bit higher than second hand chain from ebay, but lower than what you would expect. Check out all the linear bearings as well, you can buy these direct too, for example www.igus.co.uk/en/drylinw
I work there, and I know that anyone can buy direct, no mimimum order, and you can phone up to 8PM, 01604 677240
