    Hello

My HY02D223B has also just toasted itself. Before I replace it, does anybody know what the coil resistances should be on a chinese 2.2Kw watercooled spindle?

Mine all measure around 1.8ohms, does this sound about right?

    Cheers

Yes. Measure between all 3 phases and check that there is no short to the case.

They usually blow up if the plug comes loose or a short in the plug this is why you should always fix the cable to the Z axis to save it from bending near the plug

Thank you Clive, Yes all three the same and no short to earth. I'll megger it tomorrow. Cabling installed by builder isn't great, so will redo that now regardless.
