New Member Portland

Hi all. Just joined as I've bought a Roland TS-30 CNC mill/engraver. I've been doing a lot of laser engraving so am fairly familiar with various software etc.

I'm an engineer by trade and have a well equipped machine shop at home. I've been a gunsmith for years with air guns so if anyone has any issues please just ask.

Welcome Jon. I thought for a moment Portland Ohio, but no, the one near Glastonbury!

Interesting machine, is it for PCB machining or just engraving items?

They were built for prototyping and modelling in plastics, foam and clay. I'll be using it for PCBs and carving signs in wood etc if I ever get it working.

Haha yes, I used to live up the (West) coast in Vancouver, so I was in the wrong continent for a moment too!
