    5 phase drivers are not really a DIY product, ther are plenty on ebay though.
    It would be better buying one on ebay than trying to make one.
    Also why 5 Phase?

    presumably because he has the motors. Looking at the 5-phase threads on CNCZone it seems they are very common in the far east from surplus stores..
