AXYZ RS485 wiring.

Thanks for this very in-depth response! I appreciate it a lot. Very familiar with the toolpath workflow and had a similar way of getting paths to the machine.

Our AXYZ 4008 was setup only with the Toolpath software (had heard of DNC but didn’t bother diving deeper once we found a workflow using Toolpath)

Since I last posted this I actually went ahead and swapped out our AMC control board for a Centroid Acorn unit. - a process I intend to detail more fully over on the Centroid forum. (Tho if anyone here wants some advice pls feel free to contact me here).

I would, however, still love to see what you’ve got in this zip folder. I’m curious to see if I can get the existing Z-mouse and limit switches to communicate properly with the Acorn. I’m also curious - just for the sake of it - to see where I may have gone wrong trying to wire in a the aftermarket 485-232 adapter I bought.

Hello good. I would be having the same problem as JGC ARG. I lost the toolpath software for Windows 95/98 version 2.6. Is it possible to share the dropbox with me too?

Peachy, did you swap out your motor drivers as well? I'm in need of an AXI 2200 if you know of one.
Tell me more about your Centroid swap. How'd that work out?

Hi Peachy,
I have a AXYZ Millenium with a 1 meter square bed, and have been having issues with the start up procedure, it will not home z properly and errors out. I decided to upgrade the system to the Acorn. I just completed the bench test and am pretty overwhelmed on where to start the conversion process. I looked for your post on the Centroid Forum but couldn't find anything. I'm hoping you can help me get started on this project based on your experience.
