    Hi I have a workbee cnc with an added opt laser. I was just wondering what others use for fume extraction shop bought or diy with hepa filters and or carbon filters and do you enclose your cnc or is it open. What's your setup

    I think the answer to that should be it depends on what you are working with and want to extract. I mean, personally, I don't use any mechanical ventilation with any filters because I don't really need it. My CNC router and CNC lathe is in my home office / hobby room, where I also have a 3D printer and my electronic workshop, so the ventilation is the same as for the rest of my living are in my home. My metal "workshop" where I am cutting, drilling and working mostly with steel, aluminium and wood, does not have any mechanical ventilation because I don't need it.

    Note that I am just a hobbyist, not a professional, and don't work with anything hazardous, like laser or plasma cutting, welding and so on, and in the 3D printer I only use PLA or PETG, and don't use my CNC for wood works.
