I'm working on the electrical control side now and the original plan was to go for another AXBB-e since it has not missed a beat since I installed years ago on my CNC router. But I can't find out if an NUC style computer can run the UCCNC software (which is required to work with this controller, and is also excellent).

I had hoped to fit one inside the enclosure based on their small size and have been researching them for a few days. I might be looking in the wrong place but I've not been able to find out if they will work with the UCCNC software since this needs OpenGL to work. OpenGL is the interface software (I believe it is an API) between the UCCNC program and the PC graphics hardware.

From what I can tell you cannot fit a graphics card inside these machines so my question has been - can the integrated graphics hardware (on-board graphics) on the NUC support OpenGL. I saw a great used NUC on Ebay but when I asked the seller (a computer shop) if the onboard graphics would support OpenGL they replied that a graphics card cannot be fitted to this NUC. Now I'm not sure if they misunderstood the question or gave two answers combined - i.e. OpenGL is only available on a graphics card (e.g. fits to a PCI slot in a ) and the NUC cannot take one.

Can anyone offer advice on this because the NUC would make a very compact solution. Thanks.
