    This is not the question you asked but for extra security (just as a general step) you can check the resistance across each winding pair before connecting to the driver. Should get a few Ohms across a pair. If you wire up the driver with a short across A+A- or B+B- it will damage the driver so this can be a good check.

    If you don't have a multimeter you can take the wires from the motor and short what you think is A+A- or B+B- (do not include the driver when you do this!). If you have found the correct pair the motor will suddenly be difficult to turn by hand. This confirms which wires are the pair across each coil.
