Thread: VFD Advice - AT1 2200X any good?
-
4 Weeks Ago #1
I am putting a 2.2kw spindle into an old spindle moulder to make hopefully an OTT router table, to complement my CNC router in my woodworking. ( cannot do lock mitres on the CNC router etc).
I am looking for a VFD to drive the spindle, but don’t want to spend a lot, as the machine won’t get much use, and only an hour max when I use it.
I was hoping to get a Haunyang one ( as the one on my CNC router hasnt missed a beat in a decade) but cannot justify spending £150 or so for one, that will get so little use. I have seen some good reviews of the AT1 2200x VFD, which are half the price. Anyone got any experience or recommendations of other “cheap” VFD’s. Speed range of use will be 9k upto 24k, so am not that worried about low speed performance.
