I would like to offer a pair of granite frames CNC dental milling machines for sale. They have not been used for at least 12 years.
The granite frames were made with Epucret and of portal mill design. They are a 4-axis design with XYZ linear axes and an A rotary axis. The CNC cannot be used as it required a web-licence to run cutting programs. Some of the fixture-tooling is Erowa.
The X axis looks to be around 250-280mm including a 20 tool Pick-n-place changer. The Y and Z are closer to 100 mm.
The spindles are liquid cooled Jager with 1333Hz (80,000 rpm).
XYZ motors are Nanotec, whilst the A axis is Berger Lahr.
    Renishaw Tool Probe fitted.
Air pressure is 8 bar which I believe is for the tool change on the spindle.
They are single phase machines with 16 Amp plugs fitted.
The machines are on casters and weigh 480 kg each.
    Width 80 cms x 100cms deep x 173 cms high.
I believe Stefan Gotteswinter (You-tube) did a conversion to a similar machine about a year ago. My plan was to replace the spindles with slower (~20,000 rpm) type spindles, remove all dental fixturing and splash guards, and fit a newer 4/5 axis control for horological components. I am now in the position where a house move with less workshop space is imminent.
Ideally I'd like to sell both machines together, but individually if necessary. I have no wiring documentation of any kind.
£500 each or £850 the pair. Offers considered.
    Telford area - collection only.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iVg2GfqJpA I did this one many years ago. Granite frame, air spindle, not too dissimilar.

I have to admit, I am tempted, but I really shouldn't be taking on any new projects!
Avoiding the rubbish customer service from AluminiumWarehouse since July '13.

Very cool... I had a set of veneers made by a similar machine about 25 years ago, they're still attached to this day (apart from the one where the whole tooth broke off!). Back in the late 1990s, watching it make a veneer was fascinating (and bloody expensive!)

    Hi Lee, Thanks for looking.
It looks like we're getting to the end of our house sell/buy malarkey (it's been 16 months) and I may have to make plans to put them into storage - our time is getting eaten up with the move. With your permission I'd like to leave the offer on this site, and defer any actions for a few months. I've not offered them anywhere else. And they'll keep my motorcycles company.
I've checked my email data is correct and I'll keep a weather eye out for interest.
Thanks to the site stalwarts who have had a look, much appreciated.
    Regards
    David

Hi, so are these no longer for sale or just been stored away?

    Thanks

    Hi Chaz,

Definitely available. I have just reserved the storage for my workshop for next week. So they are still currently at home. I did check my email details were up to date in my profile - if you want more information please let me know.
Sorry, I didn't reply sooner - busy with house move issues.
    Thanks and regards

    David

Thanks. No major rush .... any further pics of what the mill looks like it its entirety? Maybe a number to call you on might be best ... thanks.

    Hi,
I have attached below some additional pictures which may be of help. They show the tool plate adjacent to the machining area, as well as drives, spindle control, Y and A motor location, the spares and so on.
    I hope this helps.
