Hi, I converted my mini lathe to cnc using centroid cnc to control the machine. However after spending more time then I wish watching videos on how the lathe should function I am at a loss why it doesn't.
Centroid manual I find detailed in certain parts, and totally misleading in other sections.
So I have fitted home switches and the machine can home itself like it should. I have been able to calibrate both axis.
Centroid state that the next step after homing the machine is to let the machine no the position of the material to machine. I have set the tool and set the z axis to zero and the x axis to the material diameter.
So far so good.i down load a simple turning part produced using fusion360. But on starting the program the tool just moving along the Z+ direction and I need to stop the program before it damages the machine.
No member how many simple g-code programs I load, the machine just does the same.
Anyone have any ideas what's going wrong. Thanks
