  1. I used TI chips that do current monitoring for a Nema23 3A cnc long ago. They ramp the voltage high but limit the current. This allows higher acceleration.

    I'm amazed how reliable they are on a hand-soldered board!

    Lm18245 iirc.

    The power supply can go 60v but i only run it to 40V. (It worked so well i didn't want to push it).
