My very best friend died a couple of years ago, and apart from the sad and obvious, he left a magnificent 3 axis CNC router that he built himself in 2019. It is housed in a barn where it was built and is too big to remove without disassembly, due to the narrow barn door. This brings me to my motive for registering with this site. His wife is planning to move and would love to see the machine go to a new home, and not leave it behind to an unknown fate. It occurred to me that one of you may be interested in taking it on, and be prepared to enjoy the challenge, and pleasure, of disassembly and reassembly. An opportunity to learn the ins and outs of its construction. It is located in Gloucestershire, near Cirencester.

I'm not sure how best to describe it's specification but I think the following covers most of the main points of interest. I have posted photos and and I can provide as much information as I am able if you are interested.

Working area: 78cm wide x 79cm deep with a sacrificial top cover.
    Machine size: 1.44m x 1.25m deep x 0.8m overall height
Bench size: 1.5m wide x 1.2m deep x 0.97m height. Note the bench is a torsion box MDF design.
Router is a Kress 1050FME-1 + large selection of cutters.
    Large dust extraction system.
Comes with a PC running Windows XP and onboard Mach3 software.

To give some idea of its capability, my friend, along with his brother, build guitars and banjos. The CNC machine was used to make almost all of the timber components, including the sound board and contoured back panel. It was also used to make wooden clocks, engraving, house names, etc.
