    Hi All,

Just wondered what style of coupling most people use/recommend when connecting their stepper motors directly to the ballscrew end?

Looking at those available on the BST Automation store of AliExpress, there seems to be 3 distinct types... Disc, Flexible and Jaw.
I'm wondering which is preferred to prevent any possible backlash?

    Cheers

    Hi,

Well the slotted metal ones are the best regarding backlash but have a limited error of alignment allowance and do break if you fatigue them to much! the flexible jaw type with an insert are pretty good all-round but depending on the quality may introduce a small amount of backlash
it just depends on if you need Zero backlash or not?
