Do you know if anyone has tackled a CNC conversion of an Axminster RF31 or similar milling machine? I need help on the best choice of Stepper Motor for X & Y and has anyone worked out a way of coupling a motor for Z?
I have bought some small hybrid 1.8 degree motors for experiment (1 Nm holding) in parallel Bipolar config but I fear these are way too weak, but they may come in handy for a small PCB NC drilling station in the future.
Cheers,
John
