its over a year old from another vender so no warrantee but thanks for all your help
its just strange that it works fine for 10mins then red fail light come on

Ok, it is most likely getting hot.
Have you tried adding a fan?

Two things to check...Leaky capacitors,you know when they're leaking a bulge occurs in the top of them.
Other thing is dry joints,these dry joints register ok when no power is pulled and occur when power is pulled.
