I need a feed shaft for my 11" Harrison 40" between centres. The one that drives the auto longitudenal feed. The lathe has a Norton type gearbox. Has anyone any suggestions where I might buy one?

Isn't it just a straight rod with a keyway in it ?

hi Hobnob
As far as I know yes it is a straight shaft with keyway but as mine has either been broken and removed or at some time simply removed I have no idea what it should look like at each end nor do I know what diameter it should be. What are your thoughts? If I had an engineering drawing of one I guess I could have one made but without that I need some one to tell me where to obtain either a new or used one. Many thanks for the reply
