Got a tip from Andre to visit this website. He showed me his Beaver Mill in the process being converted into CNC. He mentioned a lot of pictures and videos were posted on this website. I am familiar with cnczone.com and cnczone.nl and had not come across this UK forum.

I have a Myford Lathe and a very small Milling (Chinese) machine, which enabled for CNC. The mill being too small, and having collected almost a complete Z axis with spindle head, I am now converting the small mill into a much larger one .. adding first a new X Y table.

Normal job is in Software .. but my basic education did touch a little on machining ... although it was mainly by admiring the the craftsman in the Physics department workshop, creating amazing stainless - o ring free - high vacuum stuff.

So purely a hobbyist eager to learn. The UK is a special place for machining.
Interested to know what is going on today.
